I built a MK18 style upper with this which I refer to as my garbage build. Not because the barrel is bad, far from it, but because I can feed it any garbage ammo and it runs. Cheap Tula and Wolf, Black Hills Match, it runs it all. With a can it is gassier than it needs to be, but a .078 gas port is smaller than the .083 gas ports of the early Daniel Defense MK18 rifles. It isn't terrible, but really if you watch to run suppressed, the Crane spec barrel is the better option. For a do it all rifle running unsuppressed this is a great option that isn't too overgassed. There is enough pressure to run a good variety of ammo and at a good price. Accuracy has been good, though I've not really shot for groups. BA barrels are known to be good shooters though, so I have little doubt it will do it's part if I do mine.
I have been searching for quite a while for a mid priced ~10-11.5" barrel with FSB. I was literally about to give up and just have an extra I own modified. But then i stumbled upon this one. I just received and havent put any rounds thorugh yet but the fit and finish are pristine. This is exactly what I was looking for and at a price better than I had been looking for! Looking forward to breaking this in and am sure have now found my first stop when more parts are in order. This was originally on backorder, so I sent in a note to get some info and Jason had a response ready for me a few hours later. All around extremely happy with the product and company.
